Phase 1: The Pre-Move Strategy

  • It doesn’t take a math whiz to figure out that moving can be expensive! Whether it’s a short-distance move by the hour, or a cross-country move by the weight, professional organizers can help you streamline your items to help you save money.

  • We start with decluttering and downsizing so you’re only taking what you really want. Perhaps you’ve been planning to upgrade your preteen’s bedroom furniture, or purchase a couch that will fit better in your new home. This is a great time to make those decisions, which helps lighten your load.

  • During this time, we are also learning about your living style and daily routines. This can help us during the end of the move, as we unpack and organize your items in the way that works best for you!


Phase 2: Packing Up & Prepping for the Movers

  • The sooner we can help you with the packing-up process, the better! There are a sundry of categories that are easy to tackle very early on, such as holiday decor, spare bedroom items, garage paraphernalia, art work, and photos. We also plan with you the best timing to continue packing up items, right up to moving day.

  • Then the real packing begins! We help you purchase the proper moving supplies and pack everything up so your items arrive at your new home safe and secure. Boxes are clearly labeled with the contents and which area of the house they belong to.

  • We also work alongside you to schedule everything else on your to-do list: coordinating with movers, transferring utilities, and hiring any post-move cleaners and handymen.


Phase 3: Unpack & Organize

  • We can also help with your unpacking process! We start in high-priority areas like the kitchen (so you can finally eat in!) and the bedrooms (the pleasure of being able to sleep in your own bed cannot be overstated), breaking down and taking away moving materials as we go.

  • We work with you to ensure there is a place for everything in a way that makes sense to you and your lifestyle. Sometimes an extra decluttering time is needed for items that may have passed the first run-through, but now don’t make as much sense in your new space.

  • Having our team unbox and put away your items removes unneeded stress and adds extra time, so you can focus on enjoying your new home.
